How Gurt Lush came to be.

Why we started

Gurt Lush started in my kitchen as a way to make breakfast better — something nourishing, satisfying, and made with care. I wanted granola that tasted good, used whole ingredients, and felt right to eat every day.

The Shift

Before Gurt Lush, I worked in public service. Making granola began as a small side project alongside a busy job, but it quickly became something more. Baking in small batches, testing recipes, and sharing food with people felt grounding — and eventually, it became my full-time focus.

Where we are now

Today, Gurt Lush is baked in small batches in Bristol and sold online, at markets, and through local stockists. It’s still hands-on, still small, and still focused on making breakfast feel like a good start to the day.
